In the Department of Addictions Studies and Behavioral Health (ASBH) , we offer an Undergraduate program in Community Health and Graduate programs in Addictions Studies. We strive to prepare our students to address the pressing health issues that confront our communities today.

BachelorsÌýof Health Science (BHS)Ìýin Community Health

Our Community Health Program is committed to improving and protecting the health and welfare of people throughout the state, the nation and the world. We achieve this mission by educating professionals, engaging the community, and providing a path to graduate education. Lastly, by conducting research we endeavor to develop answers toÌýhealth problems and to help provide service to the community.

After completion of the Community Health Program students are eligible to apply for certification through

Masters of Health Science (MHS) in Addiction StudiesÌý
Our MHS will prepareÌýyou to become a leader in the field of addictions treatment. OurÌýprogram builds an excellent foundation for you to serve as treatment professionals. We also offer innovative certificate courses that provide you with the skills you need to identify individuals with addictions — and to provide the interventions necessary for effective treatment.Ìý We additionally offer an expandedÌýAddictions Counseling Concentration degree program:

Both Addictions Studies Programs are accredited by theÌý and satisfies the academic requirements toward the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) professional credential.ÌýThese programs also are accredited by theÌý
