VoiceThread is an interactive collaboration and sharing tool that enables users to add images, documents, and videos.

We regret to inform you that the Center for Teaching and Learning will no longer support VoiceThread after the Spring 2025 semester. Instructors will need to transition their VoiceThread work by/before June 2025, as VoiceThread will no longer be available starting Summer 2025.

Instructors may convert their course materials to Panopto, which allows for both interactive multimedia discussions and video hosting. For more information, please visit the Panopto tutorials.

Users can add voice, text, audio file, or video comments. This software is integrated into the Tools section of a content area within Blackboard. To learn more about VoiceThread, please use the links below.

How to Comment

Open the VoiceThread, navigate to the slide you'd like to record a comment. At the bottom of the slide, select the "+" icon to open commenting tools, such as audio from microphone, text, video from webcam, audio from telephone, audio/video from pre-recorded file, and replying to another comment.
